Indian State Government
The Indian State Government refers to the governing body of each of the 28 states and 8 Union territories in India. Each state has its own constitution, legislative assembly, and executive branch, which are responsible for making and enforcing laws on various local matters such as education, health, and agriculture. The Chief Minister is the head of the state government, supported by a council of ministers.
State governments operate under the framework of the Constitution of India, which outlines the distribution of powers between the central and state authorities. They play a crucial role in implementing national policies at the local level while addressing the unique needs of their respective populations.
