Indian National Army
The Indian National Army (INA) was formed during World War II to fight against British colonial rule in India. It was established in 1942 by Subhas Chandra Bose, who sought to gain independence for India with the help of Japan. The INA aimed to mobilize Indian soldiers and civilians to join the struggle for freedom.
The army consisted mainly of Indian prisoners of war and expatriates in Southeast Asia. The INA fought alongside Japanese forces in various campaigns, but it faced significant challenges and ultimately disbanded after Japan's defeat in 1945. Despite its failure, the INA inspired many Indians in their quest for independence.
