Igor of Kiev
Igor of Kiev was a ruler of the East Slavic state of Kievan Rus' during the 10th century. He became Grand Prince after the death of his father, Rurik, and is known for his efforts to expand the territory and influence of Kievan Rus'. His reign is marked by military campaigns against neighboring tribes, particularly the Drevlians.
Igor's rule was significant for establishing trade routes and strengthening the economy. He is also remembered for his marriage to Olga of Kiev, who later became a powerful leader in her own right. Igor's legacy continued through his son, Sviatoslav, who succeeded him.
