ISO New England
ISO New England is a non-profit organization responsible for managing the electricity grid in the six New England states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. It ensures that electricity supply meets demand in real-time and maintains the reliability of the power system.
In addition to grid management, ISO New England oversees the wholesale electricity markets, facilitating the buying and selling of electricity among various providers. The organization also plays a key role in planning for future energy needs and integrating renewable energy sources into the grid.
