IP Relay
IP Relay is a communication service that allows individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech-impaired to make phone calls using the internet. This service connects users to a relay operator who facilitates the conversation between the user and the hearing person on the other end of the call.
The user types their message on a computer or mobile device, and the relay operator reads it aloud to the hearing person. Conversely, the operator types the spoken responses back to the user, ensuring effective communication between both parties without the need for traditional phone lines.
