Hutt River Province
Hutt River Province was a self-proclaimed micronation located in Western Australia, founded in 1970 by Leonard Casley. It was established when Casley declared independence from Australia due to disputes over wheat production regulations. The province operated with its own flag, currency, and stamps, attracting attention for its unique status.
The territory covered approximately 75 square kilometers and was situated near the Hutt River. Although it was never officially recognized by the Australian government, Hutt River Province gained a following and became a tourist attraction. In 2020, Casley announced the dissolution of the province, marking the end of its 50-year existence.
