Hungarian Minorities
Hungarian minorities refer to ethnic Hungarians living outside of Hungary, primarily in neighboring countries such as Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, and Ukraine. These communities often maintain their cultural identity through language, traditions, and local customs, despite being part of different national states.
The largest Hungarian minority is found in Transylvania, a region in Romania, where they have a significant historical presence. Other notable communities exist in Vojvodina in Serbia and Hungarian-speaking areas in Slovakia. These minorities often seek to preserve their heritage while navigating the complexities of living in diverse national contexts.
