Transylvanian Hungarians
Transylvanian Hungarians are an ethnic group living primarily in the region of Transylvania, which is located in present-day Romania. They are descendants of the Hungarian population that settled in the area during the Middle Ages. This community has its own distinct culture, language, and traditions, which are influenced by both Hungarian and Romanian heritage.
The Transylvanian Hungarian population is concentrated in several areas, particularly in Szeklerland and MureČ™ County. They maintain their cultural identity through various festivals, educational institutions, and media in the Hungarian language. Despite historical challenges, they continue to play an important role in the cultural landscape of Romania.
