Humphrey Stafford
Humphrey Stafford was a notable English nobleman during the 15th century, specifically known for his role in the Wars of the Roses. He was born around 1400 and became the 1st Duke of Buckingham. Stafford was a prominent supporter of the Lancastrian cause, which sought to maintain the power of the Lancaster family against rival factions.
Stafford's political career included serving as a member of the House of Lords and holding various military positions. He was involved in several key battles, including the Battle of Northampton in 1460. His life ended in 1460 when he was killed at the Battle of St. Albans.
