Henry Stafford
Henry Stafford, 2nd Duke of Buckingham (1455-1483), was a prominent English nobleman during the late 15th century. He was a key figure in the Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars for control of the English throne. As a member of the House of Stafford, he held significant lands and titles, and he was known for his wealth and influence.
Stafford initially supported the Lancastrian cause but later switched allegiance to the Yorkists. His political maneuvers ultimately led to his downfall when he was executed for treason in 1483, following the rise of King Richard III. His death marked the end of his family's power in England.
