Huastec
The Huastec people are an indigenous group primarily located in the Huasteca region of Mexico, which includes parts of the states of San Luis PotosÃ, Veracruz, and Tamaulipas. They speak the Huastec language, a member of the Mayan language family, and have a rich cultural heritage that includes traditional music, dance, and crafts.
Historically, the Huastec civilization was influenced by the Maya and Olmec cultures. Today, many Huastec people continue to practice their traditional customs and maintain their language, despite facing challenges such as modernization and cultural assimilation. Their vibrant traditions contribute to the diverse cultural landscape of Mexico.
