House Of Peoples' Representatives
The House of Peoples' Representatives is the lower house of the Federal Parliamentary Assembly of Ethiopia. It plays a crucial role in the legislative process, where members are elected to represent the interests of the public. The house is responsible for proposing and voting on laws, as well as overseeing the government's activities.
Members of the House serve a five-year term and are elected through a direct voting system. The house works alongside the House of Federation, the upper house, to ensure a balanced representation of the diverse ethnic groups in Ethiopia. Together, they contribute to the country's governance and policy-making.
