Hornsea Project
The Hornsea Project is a series of offshore wind farms located in the North Sea, off the coast of the United Kingdom. It is one of the largest renewable energy projects in the world, designed to generate clean electricity from wind power. The project is developed by Ørsted, a leading company in renewable energy, and aims to contribute significantly to the UK's energy needs.
The first phase, Hornsea One, became operational in 2019, followed by Hornsea Two, which began generating power in 2022. Together, these projects are expected to provide electricity to millions of homes, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and helping to combat climate change.
