Hope Squad
Hope Squad is a peer-to-peer suicide prevention program designed to support students in schools. It trains students to recognize signs of distress in their peers and encourages them to reach out for help. The program aims to create a culture of caring and support among students, fostering an environment where mental health is prioritized.
Members of Hope Squad are often selected by their peers and receive training on how to provide support and guidance. They learn to listen, empathize, and connect their friends with trusted adults or mental health resources, ultimately helping to reduce stigma around mental health issues.
