Honoria
Honoria was a Roman princess, the daughter of Emperor Valentinian III and Licinia Eudoxia. She is best known for her role in the political intrigues of the Western Roman Empire during the 5th century. Honoria famously sent a ring to Attila the Hun, seeking his help, which led to significant consequences for the empire.
Her actions were interpreted as a proposal for marriage, prompting Attila to demand her hand and a portion of the empire. This event highlighted the complex relationships between the Roman Empire and various barbarian tribes, ultimately contributing to the decline of Roman authority in the West.
