Homer's epics
Homer's epics are two of the most important works of ancient Greek literature: the Iliad and the Odyssey. The Iliad focuses on the events of the Trojan War, particularly the conflict between the Greek hero Achilles and the Trojan prince Hector. It explores themes of honor, fate, and the human condition.
The Odyssey follows the adventures of Odysseus as he attempts to return home after the war. It highlights his struggles against various obstacles, including mythical creatures and divine beings. Both epics are written in dactylic hexameter and have significantly influenced Western literature and storytelling.
