Homeland War
The Homeland War refers to the conflict that took place in Croatia from 1991 to 1995, following the breakup of Yugoslavia. It was primarily fought between the Croatian government forces and the Serb paramilitary groups, who sought to create a separate Serbian state within Croatia. The war resulted in significant territorial changes and widespread destruction.
The conflict was marked by ethnic tensions and violence, leading to numerous casualties and the displacement of many civilians. The war officially ended with the signing of the Dayton Agreement in 1995, which established peace and recognized Croatia's sovereignty.
