His Holiness the Dalai Lama
His Holiness the Dalai Lama is the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism and the former political leader of Tibet. Born as Tenzin Gyatso on July 6, 1935, he was recognized as the 14th Dalai Lama at a young age. He has lived in exile in India since 1959, following the Chinese invasion of Tibet.
The Dalai Lama is known for his teachings on compassion, non-violence, and the importance of human values. He has received numerous awards, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989, for his efforts to promote peace and understanding between different cultures and religions.
