Hepatic Cyst
A hepatic cyst is a fluid-filled sac that forms in the liver, often discovered incidentally during imaging tests like ultrasound or CT scans. These cysts are usually benign, meaning they are not cancerous, and they typically do not cause symptoms or require treatment.
Most hepatic cysts are simple cysts, which are thin-walled and filled with clear fluid. In rare cases, they can become complicated, leading to symptoms such as pain or discomfort in the upper abdomen. Regular monitoring may be recommended to ensure they remain stable and do not develop into more serious conditions.
