Henry VII of England
Henry VII of England was the first monarch of the Tudor dynasty, ruling from 1485 to 1509. He came to power after defeating King Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field, which marked the end of the Wars of the Roses. Henry's reign is noted for establishing a strong central government and reducing the power of the nobility.
Henry VII is also known for his efforts to strengthen the economy and promote trade. He arranged strategic marriages for his children, including the union of his son Arthur with Catherine of Aragon, which would later have significant implications for English history.
