Henry Sacheverell was an English clergyman and political figure born in 1674. He became well-known for his sermons that criticized the government and promoted the High Church Anglican viewpoint. His most famous sermon, delivered in 1709, sparked significant controversy and led to his trial by the House of Lords in 1710.
