Henry FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Richmond and Somerset, was born in 1519 and was the illegitimate son of King Henry VIII and Elizabeth Blount. He was recognized by his father and given titles, including Duke of Richmond, which made him one of the most prominent figures in the Tudor court.
