Henry Addington
Henry Addington was a British politician who served as Prime Minister from 1801 to 1804. He was a member of the Tory party and became known for his efforts to maintain peace during the early years of the Napoleonic Wars. Addington's government focused on domestic issues and sought to stabilize the economy.
Addington was born in 1757 and was educated at Oxford University. Before becoming Prime Minister, he held various positions, including Speaker of the House of Commons. After his premiership, he continued to serve in Parliament and was later appointed as the Viscount Sidmouth. He passed away in 1844.
