Henry "Hotspur" Percy
Henry "Hotspur" Percy was a prominent English nobleman and military leader during the late 14th century. Born in 1364, he was the son of Henry Percy, the 1st Earl of Northumberland. Hotspur gained fame for his bravery and skill in battle, particularly during the Hundred Years' War against France. He played a significant role in several key conflicts, including the Battle of Shrewsbury in 1403.
Hotspur is best known for his rivalry with King Henry IV, which stemmed from political tensions and personal grievances. His ambition and desire for power led him to join the Percy family in rebellion against the king. Ultimately, Hotspur was killed at the Battle of Shrewsbury, marking the end of his short but impactful life.
