Henrique IV
Henrique IV, also known as Henry IV of France, was a significant monarch who ruled from 1589 until his assassination in 1610. He was the first king of the Bourbon dynasty and is best known for his efforts to unify a divided France during the French Wars of Religion. His conversion to Catholicism helped to stabilize the country and he famously declared, "Paris is worth a Mass."
Henrique IV implemented various reforms to improve the economy and infrastructure of France. He promoted policies that encouraged agriculture and trade, which contributed to the country's recovery after years of conflict. His legacy includes the Edict of Nantes, which granted religious tolerance to Huguenots, marking a significant step towards peace in France.
