Hayloft
A hayloft is an upper storage area in a barn or similar structure, typically used for storing hay or straw. It is usually accessible by a ladder or stairs and is designed to keep the hay dry and protected from the elements. Haylofts are important for farmers as they provide a space to store feed for livestock, especially during winter months when fresh grass is not available.
In addition to hay, haylofts can also be used for storing equipment or other supplies needed for farming. The design of a hayloft often includes ventilation to prevent mold and ensure the stored materials remain in good condition. Haylofts are a traditional feature in many rural areas and are associated with agricultural practices.
