Hawaii Territory
The Hawaii Territory was an organized territory of the United States from 1900 until 1959. It was established after the annexation of the Hawaiian Islands in 1898, following the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy. The territory included the main islands of Hawaii, Maui, Oahu, Kauai, and others, and its capital was Honolulu.
During its time as a territory, Hawaii experienced significant economic growth, particularly in the sugar and pineapple industries. The population included a diverse mix of cultures, including native Hawaiians, Asian immigrants, and others. Hawaii became the 50th state of the United States on August 21, 1959.
