Harrat Rahat
Harrat Rahat is a volcanic field located in western Saudi Arabia, near the city of Medina. It covers an area of approximately 1,200 square kilometers and features numerous volcanic cones and lava flows. The field is part of the larger Harrat volcanic region, which is known for its geological significance and unique landscape.
The volcanic activity in Harrat Rahat is primarily basaltic, resulting in dark, rocky terrain. The last known eruption in this area occurred around 1256 AD, making it an important site for studying volcanic history and geology in the Arabian Peninsula.
