Harai Goshi
Harai Goshi is a fundamental throwing technique in Judo, characterized by a sweeping motion of the leg. The practitioner uses their hip as a pivot point while sweeping one leg across the opponent's legs, causing them to lose balance and fall. This technique is effective against opponents of various sizes and is often used in both competition and practice.
To execute Harai Goshi, the judoka must first establish a strong grip on their opponent's gi and position themselves close. The throw requires good timing and coordination, making it essential for beginners to practice under the guidance of an experienced instructor to ensure proper form and safety.
