Hans Makart
Hans Makart was an Austrian painter and decorator born in 1840 and known for his grand historical and mythological scenes. Makart played a significant role in the Vienna Secession movement, influencing the development of modern art in Austria.
In addition to painting, Makart was also involved in interior design and created elaborate murals for various buildings, including the Vienna State Opera. His style combined elements of Romanticism and Baroque, making him a prominent figure in 19th-century art until his death in 1884.
