Hárslevelű
Hárslevelű is a white grape variety primarily grown in Hungary, particularly in the Tokaj wine region. It is known for its aromatic qualities, often featuring floral and fruity notes, which contribute to the complexity of the wines produced from it. The grape is typically used in both dry and sweet wine styles, with the latter being a key component in the famous Tokaji Aszú.
The name "Hárslevelű" translates to "lime-leaved," referring to the shape of its leaves. This grape variety is often blended with Furmint, another prominent grape in the region, to create well-balanced wines that showcase the unique terroir of Tokaj.
