Gyeongjong of Joseon
Gyeongjong of Joseon was the 21st king of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea, reigning from 1720 to 1724. He was the second son of King Sukjong and Queen Inwon. His reign was marked by efforts to stabilize the kingdom after the political turmoil of his father's rule, although he faced challenges due to his health.
Despite his short reign, Gyeongjong is remembered for promoting Confucian ideals and supporting the development of culture and education. His time on the throne ended when he died at a young age, leading to the ascension of his half-brother, King Yeongjo.
