Guru Ram Singh
Guru Ram Singh was a prominent Sikh leader and the founder of the Namdhari sect in the 19th century. Born in 1816 in Punjab, India, he emphasized spiritual awakening and social reform within the Sikh community. He advocated for a return to the teachings of Guru Nanak, the first Sikh Guru, and sought to eliminate social injustices.
In 1857, during the Indian Rebellion, Guru Ram Singh played a significant role in mobilizing support against British colonial rule. His efforts led to his arrest and exile, but his teachings continued to inspire many. He passed away in 1885, leaving a lasting legacy in Sikh history.
