Guru Ram Dass
Guru Ram Dass was the fourth of the ten Sikh Gurus, born in 1534 in Lahore, now part of Pakistan. He is known for his contributions to Sikhism, particularly for establishing the city of Amritsar, which is home to the Golden Temple, a central place of worship for Sikhs. Guru Ram Dass emphasized the importance of community service and humility.
He composed several hymns that are included in the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism. His teachings focused on devotion to God, equality among all people, and the significance of selfless service. Guru Ram Dass is celebrated for his spiritual leadership and the values he instilled in the Sikh community.
