Guadiamar Green Corridor
The Guadiamar Green Corridor is a protected natural area in southern Spain, created in response to the ecological disaster caused by the Aznalcóllar mine spill in 1998. This corridor stretches along the Guadiamar River and aims to restore the damaged ecosystem while providing a habitat for various plant and animal species.
Spanning approximately 75 kilometers, the corridor features diverse landscapes, including wetlands, forests, and agricultural land. It serves as an important ecological link between the Doñana National Park and the Sierra de Aracena, promoting biodiversity and offering recreational opportunities for visitors interested in nature and wildlife.
