Groin Strain
A groin strain is an injury to the muscles in the inner thigh, often caused by overstretching or sudden movements. This type of strain can occur during activities that involve running, jumping, or quick changes in direction. Symptoms typically include pain, swelling, and difficulty moving the leg.
Treatment for a groin strain usually involves rest, ice, compression, and elevation (RICE). In more severe cases, physical therapy may be recommended to strengthen the muscles and improve flexibility. Most people recover fully with proper care and can return to their normal activities within a few weeks.
