Grigory Rasputin
Grigory Rasputin was a Russian mystic and advisor to the Romanov family, particularly to Tsar Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra. Born in 1869 in Siberia, he gained influence in the early 20th century due to his alleged healing abilities, especially concerning the royal couple's son, Alexei, who suffered from hemophilia.
Rasputin's presence in the royal court sparked controversy and resentment among nobles and the public. Many viewed him as a manipulative figure who had undue influence over the monarchy during a time of political turmoil in Russia. His life ended violently in 1916 when he was assassinated by a group of nobles.
