Empress Alexandra
Empress Alexandra was the wife of Tsar Nicholas II, the last emperor of Russia. Born in Germany in 1872, she became a significant figure in Russian history. Alexandra was known for her strong personality and deep devotion to her family, especially her son, Alexei, who suffered from hemophilia. Her influence over Nicholas and her role in the royal court made her a controversial figure during a time of great political turmoil.
As the Russian Empire faced challenges, Alexandra's close ties to mystics like Rasputin raised eyebrows and fueled public distrust. Many blamed her for the royal family's troubles, especially during World War I. Despite the hardships, she remained committed to her family until their tragic end in 1918.
