Grigori Rasputin
Grigori Rasputin was a Russian mystic and advisor to the Romanov family, particularly to Tsar Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra. Born in 1869 in Siberia, he gained influence in the early 20th century due to his alleged healing abilities, especially concerning the royal couple's son, Alexei, who suffered from hemophilia.
Rasputin's presence in the royal court sparked controversy and resentment among nobles and the public. Many viewed him as a manipulative figure, leading to conspiracy and plots against him. He was assassinated in 1916, reflecting the turmoil and instability of the Russian Empire during that period.
