Green DeWitt
Green DeWitt was an American empresario known for his role in the early settlement of Texas during the 19th century. Born in 1787 in Missouri, he received a land grant from the Mexican government in 1825, allowing him to establish a colony in what is now Gonzales County, Texas. His efforts contributed to the growth of the region, attracting settlers and promoting agriculture.
