Granma
The Granma is a historic yacht that played a significant role in the Cuban Revolution. Built in 1943, it is best known for transporting Fidel Castro and 81 other revolutionaries from Mexico to Cuba in 1956. This journey marked the beginning of their campaign against the government of Fulgencio Batista.
After the revolution, the Granma became a symbol of the struggle for Cuban independence. Today, it is preserved as a museum in Havana, where visitors can learn about its importance in Cuban history and the events that led to the establishment of the current government.
