Grand Duke Wilhelm II
Grand Duke Wilhelm II was a member of the German nobility, born on March 27, 1852. He was the son of Grand Duke Frederick I of Baden and Princess Louise of Prussia. Wilhelm II served as the Grand Duke of Baden from 1907 until his abdication in 1918, following the end of World War I.
During his reign, he focused on modernizing the Grand Duchy and promoting economic development. Wilhelm II was known for his interest in military affairs and his support for the arts and education. He passed away on July 6, 1928, in Freiburg im Breisgau.
