Grand Duke Friedrich Franz IV
Grand Duke Friedrich Franz IV was the ruler of the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin from 1897 until his death in 1918. Born on February 19, 1882, he was a member of the House of Mecklenburg and succeeded his father, Grand Duke Friedrich Franz III. His reign saw significant social and economic changes in the region.
Friedrich Franz IV was known for his interest in military affairs and his support for the German Empire during World War I. After the war, the monarchy in Germany faced challenges, leading to the abdication of many rulers, including Friedrich Franz IV, who stepped down in November 1918.
