Grand Duchess Adélaïde
Grand Duchess Adélaïde was a member of the French royal family, born on August 23, 1777. She was the daughter of King Louis-Philippe I and Queen Marie-Amélie, and she played a significant role in the social and cultural life of the French court during the 19th century. Adélaïde was known for her charitable work and her support of the arts.
Throughout her life, Adélaïde remained closely connected to her family and the political changes in France. She was a strong supporter of her brother, King Louis-Philippe, during his reign from 1830 to 1848. After the fall of the monarchy, she lived in exile until her death on April 3, 1847.
