Giovanni dalle Bande Nere
Giovanni dalle Bande Nere was an Italian condottiero, or mercenary leader, born in 1498. He was known for his military prowess and played a significant role in the Italian Wars during the early 16th century. Giovanni was the son of Ludovico il Moro and Caterina Sforza, which connected him to powerful noble families in Italy.
He earned the nickname "dalle Bande Nere" due to the black bands he wore on his armor. Giovanni was a skilled cavalry commander and fought for the Duchy of Florence. His life was cut short when he died in 1526, but he remains a notable figure in Italian military history.
