Giant anteater
The giant anteater is a large mammal native to Central and South America. It has a long snout and a specialized tongue that can extend up to 16 inches, allowing it to feed primarily on ants and termites. With a body length of about 7 feet, including its tail, it is easily recognizable by its distinctive fur pattern, which often features a black and white stripe.
Giant anteaters are solitary animals and are mostly active during the day. They have strong forelimbs equipped with sharp claws, which they use to break open ant mounds. Despite their size, they are generally not aggressive and rely on their keen sense of smell to locate food.
