German Federal Election
The German Federal Election is held every four years to elect members of the Bundestag, Germany's federal parliament. Voters choose representatives from various political parties, and the election determines the composition of the government. The party or coalition with the majority of seats typically forms the government, with its leader becoming the Chancellor.
The most recent election took place in September 2021, resulting in a shift in power. The Social Democratic Party (SPD) emerged as the largest party, leading to the formation of a coalition government with the Greens and the Free Democratic Party (FDP).
