Georgi Sava Rakovski
Georgi Sava Rakovski was a prominent Bulgarian revolutionary and national leader in the 19th century. Born in 1821, he played a crucial role in the struggle for Bulgarian independence from Ottoman rule. Rakovski was not only a political figure but also a writer and journalist, advocating for national liberation through his works.
Rakovski founded the first Bulgarian revolutionary organization, known as the Bulgarian Revolutionary Central Committee, and was instrumental in organizing uprisings against the Ottoman Empire. His efforts laid the groundwork for future movements that ultimately led to the liberation of Bulgaria in 1878.
