Bulgarian Revolutionary Central Committee
The Bulgarian Revolutionary Central Committee (BRCC) was established in 1901 as a key organization in the struggle for Bulgarian independence from Ottoman rule. It aimed to coordinate revolutionary activities and unify various revolutionary groups across Bulgaria and the Bulgarian-populated regions in the Ottoman Empire. The BRCC played a significant role in the organization of uprisings, including the notable Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising in 1903.
The committee was closely associated with the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Organization (IMARO), which sought to liberate the regions of Macedonia and Thrace. The BRCC's efforts contributed to the eventual establishment of an independent Bulgarian state, influencing the national liberation movements in the Balkans.
