Georges Bemberg
Georges Bemberg was an influential French-Argentinian art collector and philanthropist, born on March 22, 1915, in Buenos Aires. He was known for his extensive collection of European paintings, particularly works from the Renaissance to the 19th century. Bemberg dedicated much of his life to promoting art and culture, both in Argentina and internationally.
In 1992, he established the Bemberg Foundation in Buenos Aires, which houses his impressive collection and serves as a cultural center. The foundation aims to promote artistic education and appreciation, making significant contributions to the cultural landscape of Argentina. Bemberg passed away on December 8, 2018.
